I was in the second grade when my teacher "discovered me".   I doodled a lot, and she loved the drawings I had done on the folders for parent-teacher conferences.   I was awarded a scholarship to attend the Toledo (Ohio) Art Museum every Saturday for classes and was exposed to ART.   My experiences had a profound effect on me and led me to my passion for graphic design.

I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University and early on managed the art department for Dana Corporation.   I also spent several years as the Creative Director for a local advertising agency before I stepped out on my own to launch LAW Design in 1995.

Building lasting relationships with my clients is as important and gratifying as creating great design.   I want my customers' experience with LAW Design to be easy, comfortable and fun—
like working with a good friend.

With over 25 years of experience, I have worked with major universities, corporations, small businesses, agencies and non-profit organizations.   I'm a big believer in collaborating for a common goal, understanding the target audience and learning to speak their language.   My mission is to create simple, yet powerful design solutions to my clients' business challenges— smart strategies, hard work and memorable graphic design that creates effective results.
